Transportation safety advocates have long fought to reduce the high numbers of crash injuries in Texas, the United States, and across the globe. One advocacy organization, the Association for Safe International Road Travel suggests that a key step in reducing related fatalities is through safety awareness initiatives that help educate people about the statistics on a broad scale.

Recently during an interview with Submit PR 123, Lucy Tiseo, marketing manager for the Dallas/Fort Worth based law firm of Witherite Law Group discussed factors concerning car wreck victims that she has seen during her time at the firm, highlighting another important aspect of dealing with the broad scale problem: what do after being involved in an accident. According to Tiseo “immediately following a car accident a lot of us are scared, we’re confused, we could be injured but it’s very important that we asked the right questions at this time.”
Tiseo offers specific information for injured car wreck victims in Dallas and surrounding areas during the informative Google Hangout interview, which can be viewed on the YouTube channel of the Witherite Law Group firm. One major thing she suggests that individuals do immediately after being involved in an accident is to gathering as much information as possible about the other driver. Tiseo says “one of the good things about pretty much everybody’s cell phone now is that they have cameras. So we recommend that you use your camera. Take a picture of their driver’s license, take a picture of their insurance card and their license plate number because after a car accident we can be very confused, disoriented, hurt. We can transcribe numbers incorrectly.”
Legal experts like the attorneys of the Witherite Law Group firm suggest that knowing what to do in the immediate aftermath of a Dallas traffic accident can help ensure the best outcome for injured parties in a number of ways. Says the firm’s co-founding attorney Amy Witherite “aside from getting prompt medical attention, individuals who have been hurt in a car wreck should know they have legal options for recovery and the immediate steps taken after an accident can have a significant impact on any related claim.”
